Quarterly Newsletter - September 2024

We are entering the Fall season with grateful hearts. Both our Boise and Horseshoe Bend locations have been thriving. The current economy paired with our increased marketing and community engagement has led many people through our doors, and it is an honor to help so many women and families in need of pregnancy related services. There have been many changes in the last couple of years, but Path’s focus remains to provide services and support to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. Recently there have been a few well-meaning organizations that have produced misleading data claiming that only a handful of medically necessary abortions occurred in Idaho last year. Path’s focus statement for 2024 comes from the book of James: “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” James 3:17 We can be tempted to spend our time, energy and resources in many different areas, but it is important that we stay true to our mission, which directly supports women and families. Have you heard the news that Path is expanding? Over the past few months, we have been laying the groundwork to open two new satellite locations in Nampa and Horseshoe Bend (HSB). We have hit a few speedbumps along the way, but are trusting God with the timing, and both locations are…Continue Reading

The spiritual battle rages on one year after the Roe decision. We know that women are being referred out of state and many are still able to access abortion medication from a variety of sources. However, we are grateful to live in a state where our laws are protecting the lives of the unborn. One noteworthy change is that the former "trigger law"…Continue Reading

In its January decision, the Idaho State Supreme Court allowed the Trigger law to remain in effect, rejecting the argument that the Idaho State Constitution protects an unenumerated right to abortion. David Ripley from Idaho Chooses Life, who helped write this law, said, “Yes, indeed, it is good news. It is a thorough rebuke of the notion that Idaho’s Constitution protects abortion.” Although we too celebrate this news, we know that our mission and work will continue as planned….Click to Continue Reading

What an incredible year 2022 has been! The monumental decision to overturn Roe v. Wade after 50 years is a blessing. With that blessing comes the challenge in our community to step up. As with every year that passes, we are grateful for your support, love, and prayers for our staff and clients. Your heart for our mission makes our work possible. Click To Continue Reading

My first three months as the Director of Community Engagement and Donor Development have been a whirlwind. My job at Path started two weeks after the Roe vs. Wade ruling, which was a volatile time for our nation. Knowing my new role I thought, “Wow Lord, what is your plan here?”…Continue Reading

People often ask, “Who is your typical client?”. The truth is, there isn’t a “typical” client. Other than the common link of having a pregnancy issue, the demographics cover a wide spectrum and have a wide variety of implications relative to their pregnancy. They all have different family dynamics that come into play during their pregnancy, different spiritual and religious beliefs, and practices. Some are single, some are married, some are abortion minded, many are abortion vulnerable…Click To Continue Reading

As of today, the 1st quarter of 2022 is in the books. We would love to tell you that 2022 has brought a new and bright season for Path, but for transparency’s sake, that isn’t completely true. It has been hard. At times, heartbreaking. Our mission statement: Treasure Valley Path expresses the love of Christ by helping women and families thrive during and after pregnancy. Therefore, we try to continue care and build relationships with clients after the initial visit…Click To Continue Reading

To the Path Family,

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. -Isaiah 9:6  We rejoice in God’s gift of Jesus and reflect with joy what a year 2021 has been!  God and our community of supporters showed up in big ways this year. He has blessed Path incredibly.

We had an amazing art auction in June to raise funds for a new 3D/4D ultrasound machine. God moved mountains and brought the community together to raise ALL of the money needed in one night! Click To Continue Reading…

We are thrilled to announce that Path will be purchasing a new ultrasound machine! The Art Auction was a wonderful event and blessing to Path. We were able to raise over $50,000 to buy a new machine! We couldn't have done it without God's guidance and our community of supporters. The art was spectacular. To every artist that donated a piece of their treasures to auction, thank you. To each supporter that sent in ultrasound donations when they couldn't be at the event, thank you. To everyone in attendance that gave their time…Continue Reading

To Our Generous Donors and Supporters,

What a year 2020 has been!  We are blessed to have our community’s support in the work that is being done at Path.  This year has brought unexpected turmoil to families in our community, and we know there is long lasting pain and consequences to many who feel overwhelmed by the world around us.  In the midst of this turmoil, God has shown His glory and…Continue Reading

Greetings Friends!

As we enter the 4th quarter of this very strange year, I keep thinking of a quote from Winnie the Pooh’s sad, little friend, Eeyore, “It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine.” We are blessed at Path in so many ways, so rather than listing challenges that non-profits are facing right now, let's focus on the sunshine! We are STILL open and serving women in need! Our staff and volunteers continue to be healthy, willing and able to be at Path for our clients. Finally and most importantly, God’s daily provisions are endless. Path continues to be financially stable. We thank God everyday for our community of supporters and ‘surprise gifts’ that have been given to our organization. We were also blessed with another grant through the Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation specifically for our Childbirth Education Program. Path is currently the only ‘in-person’…Continue Reading

Friends of PATH;

Greetings! I hope this letter finds you healthy and hopeful! If I were asked to sum up the last 3 months in a phrase, some options might be: “One day at a time” or “This too shall pass” or “Lord willing". At Path, our goal was to stay open and provide services to women in need as long as we were able.  Praise God, we kept our doors open, staffed and ready to serve.  As we all know, staying flexible in such a fluid and changing environment is key to being successful. Therefore, rather than having our regular Pregnancy, Childbirth and Beyond class with multiple clients we have met with clients one-on-one as needed.  We have limited our daily client appointments to be able to keep up with cleaning and sanitization. Also, we are keeping the office limited to staff and call in volunteers as necessary.  Lastly, we put a hold on all traditional fundraisers and Baby Bottle Drives and opted for virtual options. We know that as this storm passes the future is still unknown...Click to Continue Reading
