This month marks three years since the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade. At the time, there were many unknowns, including how this decision would impact Path. We quickly learned that our services are needed more than ever before, and that centers like ours would be a pro-life safety net for women facing the complexities of an unplanned pregnancy. Path’s focus statement for 2025 comes from the book of Ephesians: “And also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:19-20 Many of our clients find themselves chained to destructive patterns, behaviors, relationships, etc. However, any of us can be bound by these things without the truth and hope of the gospel. 2024 was a year of steady growth, sobering challenges, and multiple God moments. We saw many abortion vulnerable clients who were facing difficult situations and complicated circumstances. We helped families who lacked insurance and other resources to get the pregnancy related support they needed. We dealt with the reality that abortion medication is easily accessible to women in Idaho, in spite of our laws. However, we also had countless divine appointments where women chose life, and their stories were forever changed.

In its January decision, the Idaho State Supreme Court allowed the Trigger law to remain in effect, rejecting the argument that the Idaho State Constitution protects an unenumerated right to abortion. David Ripley from Idaho Chooses Life, who helped write this law, said, “Yes, indeed, it is good news.
